Jailed and charged with the murder of Clive "Lizard" Williams, Vybz Kartel and his co-accused pleaded not guilty in court this morning, the Gleaner reports. The court is now selecting the jurors.
The deejay is accused of killing Clive Williams (whose body has not been found) at his home in Havendale, in the parish of St Andrew, on 16 August 2011.
The police have repeatedly stated that they hold audio and video evidence incriminating Vybz Kartel. The co-accused are Shawn Campbell (Shawn Storm), Calvin Haye, André St John, Shane Williams and Kahira Jones.
Also accused of the murder of Barrington "Bossy" Bryan in July 2011, Vybz Kartel was acquitted in August.
