Faya Dub is back with ''On The Road''

It took some patience, but here at last is the successor to the superb album "Word Wide Reggae": Faya Dub announces the release of its fourth album, "On The Road".

Faya Dub is back with ''On The Road''

Seven years after "World Wide Reggae", the dub band formed in 1998 is back with a new opus, still independent. Like "Sings and Play", their second album, which was born in Bosnia, "On The Road" also took shape beyond the borders of France. In Greece, to be precise, where the band wrapped up its European tour with a week-long residency at the "Half Note" jazz club.

"On The Road" opens with the track Tikanis, which means How are you? in Greek:

Due on 10 February 2014, "On The Road" promises to be a perfect heir to the crew's historic reggae, dub and jazz line. True to form, the new opus was recorded live at Midi Live Studio, in the Paris suburbs. Around Eric "Rico" Gaultier (saxophone & flute), we find Thomas Henning (trombone), Thierry Negro (bass), Laurent Pena-Vieira (drums), Serjio Nobal (percussion), Christian Moore (keyboards), Kenny Saint-Amand (guitar), Alex Legrand (guitar), Antoine Berjeaut (trumpet) and Muctaru Wurie (keyboards).

A new album that cannot be recommended highly enough to catch on stage, where Faya Dub excels. In fact, after opening for Misty In Roots in Paris last May, the French band will be back at the New Morning on 13 February 2014, but this time as headliners.
