Found guilty of the murder of Clive Williams, the deejay Vybz Kartel has been sentenced to life imprisonment.
Almost three weeks after the verdict of 13 March, the sentence came down today. Judge Lennox Campbell announced their sentence to the guilty men: life imprisonment for each of them.
Vybz Kartel will be eligible for parole only after 35 years, Andre St John after 30 years, Kahira Jones and the deejay Shawn "Storm" Campbell after 25 years.
Vybz Kartel's lawyer said his appeal could be filed at the end of the year.
The journalist Emily Crooks, who has been following the case closely and tweeting during the court hearings, was the first to announce the sentences.
