On the sleeve, a little hummingbird carries an enormous drop of water. Rod Anton & The Ligerians' new album, "Wevolution", takes up the Native American legend of the hummingbird: while a fire rages through the forest, the animals take refuge on a hill and watch a hummingbird, who, drop by drop, tries to put out the blaze. The moral is that every action counts, even the tiniest.

With "Wevolution", his new album due out on 22 May 2014, Rod Anton adds his voice to the chorus of ecological protest and awakening of consciences in the face of this emergency. As on the previous album, "Reasonin'", he has gathered around him Vaughn Benjamin (Midnite) and Cedric Myton (The Congos) to support him on his refined roots reggae. The Midnite leader contributes two interludes here, one as a prelude to the anti-plastic attack Addicted and the other for Seeds of Death, which denounces the ravages of agro-industrial societies and extols the agro-ecological model.
Committed roots that won over the label Plus Loin Music, a jazz specialist, which is opening its catalogue to reggae by signing Rod Anton. A new album to discover on stage, for the Wevolution Tour.
