Again this year, Toulouse Dub Club is holding a special edition in the courtyard of the Abattoirs museum. After the Jamaican sound systems last year (Channel One in full force), this year it is the picos, their Colombian counterparts, who will be in the spotlight this Saturday 17 May.
From 4pm, the screening of the documentary “Pico, la maquina musical del caribe” will let you immerse yourself in the culture of Colombian sound systems.
Then on to the music: the Blackboard Jungle sound system (dressed in the paintings of Colombian artist William Gutierrez), Monosoniko Champetuo accompanied by Javier Fonseca, and Mad Professor feat Dego Ranks. Finally, Toulouse's own sound system I-station welcomes Guachafita, specialists in Latin music.
