Ecolozicalizes: Black Roots in France for the first time
on Monday, May 16th 2011 - 7 131 views
After the opening night on 11 May (Wake Up Sound, Calaloo Sound, Difanga, Pancho Mc, Mathieu Ruben, Ras Daniel Ray…) and Prince Malachi and Michael Prophet this weekend, the Ecolozicalizes Festival will welcome tonight The Abyssinians and the Congos, who have already criss-crossed France.
This fifth edition (the 14th of the Zicalizes) has more surprises in store, notably on 21 May, in Ste-Geneviève des Bois, with the British band Black Roots playing in France for the first time, two magnificent albums of theirs (Black Roots and Black Roots in session) having been brought back to light by Makasound. A concert not to be missed by all lovers of roots harmonies. Also on the bill, Jah Mason and his compatriot Informative Historyman, who will give his first concert in France. And finally, last but not least, Mo'Kalamity and his band The Wizards complete this lovely programme.
On 28 May, a sound system night will close the festival with Large Up Sound and Wake Up Sound, in Palaiseau.
