Chuck Fender seriously injured in accident
on Monday, June 21st 2004 - 15 712 views
On 10 June, the singjay Chuck Fender was involved in a serious car accident after colliding with a lorry (see photo), which left him in hospital for a week. Happy to still be alive, Chuck Fender, already 30 years old, has been forced to take a break and has announced that he will not be seen on stage before the next Sumfest.
Converted to the Rasta movement in 2002, Chuck Fender breathed new life into his career, notably with tunes such as “Better days” on the riddim of the same name, “I see love” on the Stress riddim, “Cry for my people” on the Blaze riddim and “Jah is worthy” on the recent Hard Times riddim. A member of the Fifth Element Crew, into which he brought Richie Spice, who has also enjoyed renewed popularity since, the singjay is working on an album, due out very soon and which should be called “Jah It’s All About You”.
