Hank Bordowitz is an American journalist who has made a name for himself with his writing on rock artists such as U2, Bruce Springsteen and Creedence Clearwater Revival. He turned his attention to Marley and compiled numerous press cuttings from the 70s, taken from Newsweek, Rolling Stone and The Village Voice. Rita Marley, Aston 'Familyman' Barrett and Al Anderson contributed to the writing of this book, which traces Bob’s whole career. From the first concerts to worldwide acclaim, the author also dwells on Marley’s involvement in Zimbabwe and on the legal wrangles that followed his death. Hank Bordowitz is preparing a book on the superstars of the Third World for the end of 2004.
