The German label Pow Pow is not idle these days. Not content with touring across the Rhine with their sound system, Ingo Rheinbay and his colleagues are announcing the upcoming release of several projects. First, an album, "Pow Pow Trilogy", bringing together Anthony B., Jah Mason and Turbulence, should see the light of day shortly. A new kind of project for the label, this 15-track opus (5 per artist) will contain no fewer than 9 previously unreleased tracks.
Two brand-new riddims are also in preparation for the start of the year. A reggae rhythm, the Ruff and tuff will feature artists such as Anthony B., Jah Mason, Norris Man and Elijah Prophet, while the very dancehall Follow riddim will let Gentleman, Jah Mason, Turbulence, Tippa Irie and Skarramucci shine.
Finally, Pow Pow has also produced Another day, the latest very roots single from Ray Darwin, now based in Germany and brought back into fashion last year thanks to his mega hit People’s choice.
