Vote Cocoa Tea!
on Friday, October 24th 2008 - 8 831 views
We now know the release date of Cocoa Tea's new album, "Yes we can", openly dedicated to Barrack Obama (news of 07/07/2008). The date is no coincidence: it will come out on 4 November, the day of the US presidential elections. Cooked up with Dean Fraser, the Firehouse Crew and producer Bobby Digital, it will also include productions by Cocoa Tea on his own label, Roaring Lion Records.
Marcia Griffiths, Shabba Ranks, Cutty Ranks, El General and Prezident Brown will appear alongside Cocoa Tea, who notably covers Smiling Face by John Holt and I May never by Horace Andy. The single Barrack Obama has been widely picked up by the American press: Cocoa Tea has appeared on CNN and Fox News, and has been interviewed by the BBC, the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times and the New York Post, among others.
