Just a few days after his arrest (see news of 23/06/2010), Dudus has just landed in the United States under heavy escort, to be jailed in a New York federal prison.

Shortly before, he had given up contesting the extradition request before a Jamaican court. In a statement, Dudus says he took this decision "in the interest of his family, the people of West Kingston, Tivoli Gardens, and above all, Jamaica." He also deplored the violence that preceded his arrest.
The United States will thus be able to close its case, with a proper trial, even if in Jamaica, everything remains to be done.
