Buju Banton will soon know his fate: Judge James Moody has asked the jury to withdraw to deliberate. He asked them to consider each count independently.

Beforehand, the closing arguments were the occasion for a sparring match between prosecutor James Preston and defence lawyer David Oscar Markus.
"This is not about Mark Myrie the singer," Preston declared. "It is about Mark Myrie the drug trafficker. Ladies and gentlemen, I ask you to come back into this courtroom with confidence, to look at the defendant and tell him: "Mr Myrie, you are guilty of the charges against you"."
David Markus replied by asserting that the charges of firearm possession and use of a telephone network were absurd. "It shows how far the prosecution will go to convict the Grammy-winning artist."
Recordings that had not previously been played showed that the DEA informant had spared no effort to pocket the bounty.
The day before, Steven Marley and Gramps Morgan had come to show their support and testified in Buju Banton's favour.
Edit: Deliberations will continue on Tuesday. The jurors have asked to see the gun and the drugs for which Buju Banton is charged.
