Fundé: touring before the new album
on Friday, June 29th 2012 - 4 925 views
Before releasing their third studio album, preceded by the single Mon idéal, Fundé will be on tour all summer.
The new album, which does not yet have a final title, will be recorded in September (the three tracks already produced, including Mon idéal, will be re-recorded). "The idea is to make a studio album that sounds like a live one", Yoann, the band's bassist and singer, tells us. Hence an onstage repertoire that will alternate tracks from "Hymne à la vie" with the new compositions.
"We write songs that sound like us, so there is continuity in this album". This new opus will therefore not break with its predecessors, but it should adopt a more direct message: "In the spirit of Mon idéal, we tried to say things more simply, while keeping the poetry".
Fundé's music is always based on a feeling. Like "Hymne à la vie", the new album will again rest on a paradox, "between doubt and confidence". "As musicians we live with ups and downs, cyclically, Yoann continues, and that will come through in the album. There will be darker visions and brighter ones, a bit like "Hymne à la vie", but in a more positive way".
Their long tour will take them along the Atlantic coast until early September. Then it will be time to head into the studio.
