Jah Defender is about to release his first album, "Rastaman Rise", on 7 Seals Records, the label founded by Herbie Dan and Tiwony.

The Trinidadian artist (real name Ricardo Mills) started out in 2004 under the name Jah Fyah before renaming himself Jah Defender.
We first discovered him with Cyan take di fire and Trinidad on Fire, in which he paints an unflinching picture of the daily reality of Trinidadians.
The meeting of Jah Defender and 7 Seals Records gave birth to the track No feel no way, released on the Sweet Music riddim (volume 1) last summer, which features on "Rastaman Rise".
Also included are Jah is the maker (No Pwoblem riddim) and Blackman rise, whose video we recently got to see:
"Rastaman Rise" will be available on 8 July 2013, on CD (distributed by Musicast) and on download platforms.
