It is at the initiative of Dave Stewart (notably co-founder of the group Eurythmics and a fan of Jamaican music) that Buju Banton will appear on a pro-Obama song and video titled American prayer. The song in support of the American Democratic candidate was written by Dave Stewart and Bono of U2. Besides Buju, it brings together several international stars such as Whoopi Goldberg, Oprah Winfrey, Macy Gray, Beyonce, Cyndi Lauper, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Joan Baez. The video will be released on the internet from 14 August.
