Conrad Crystal a commencé à chanter dès son plus jeune âge, avant de rejoindre, après ses études, le sound system de Little John, Romantic High Power puis le célèbre Kilamanjaro. Son premier titre True love can never die connaît un succès local important. Il enregistre ensuite pour Digital B ou Xterminator avant de rencontrer le producteur Sugar Roy qui associe le style Dj à son chant. Le duo obtient un hit majeur avec la chanson Education wize sur le Handcart riddim en 2005.
